FORMULA ONE CHAMPIONSHIP RULES FOR ROLEPLAYING
So, after speaking with Antanares (who has to host the first GP according to the calendar, my mistake for the announcements on the Board) I noticed that, since each of us has to RP the GP it is hosting, it would be a good idea to have the general rules laid out in a thread for everybody to know (and eventually to discuss changes and modifications).
So, very simply, these are the rules for roleplaying the Formula 1 Championship:
So, very simply, these are the rules for roleplaying the Formula 1 Championship:
HOW TO SIMULATE A GRAND PRIX
GPs will follow mostly real-life Formula 1 procedures, excluding the Free Practice (due to their more technical nature). So they start from qualifying. Using a random order generator, the player in charge of the GP will run first the Q1, excluding the five last drivers, then Q2, excluding the next five last drivers, and finally the Q3 to determine the final order for the first ten (again, exactly like in RL Formula 1).
Race final results will also be determined through the random order generator.
Of course, the player is free, in his news post, to describe the race as he/she sees fit (e.g. describing an incident that led the last driver to retire during the race).
SCORING
Of course, each GP will give an amount of points to the drivers and their teams that will ultimately determine the championship winners. Once again, scoring will follow RL Formula 1 rulers (as laid out in 2018) that I summarize here for convenience:
1st place: 25 points
2nd place: 18 points
3rd place: 15 points
4th place: 12 points
5th place: 10 points
6th place: 8 points
7th place: 6 points
8th place: 4 points
9th place: 2 points
10th place: 1 points
From 11th to 20th: no points
FINAL NOTES
For notifying changes to teams and drivers, write a reply to this thread.
Once again, everything is open to suggestion for improvements, so do not hesitate to pur forward your proposals.
