I agree totally. Now our government structures,and especially the military forces,for rp reasons,are integrated and interfaced with the geographical environment. And this is also true for many other nations. Start from scratch,at least for me,it would be very difficult. I prefer the old map too. Our countries are now deeply integrated with that geography: to change it could be very, very difficult.

Yeah, but its my land from before, and NZ said we would be able to keep our lands if requested.

You lost your territories. But if you want them back, you're guaranteed them back, cause you have first preference over your lands when we allow for new claims. I don't think any of your borders will be shrunk, cause your not a particularly large nation to start with, so yea you should be fine. You won't loose your territory (Mainland) unless you want too.
Colonies? I'm not sure about that yet, we'll have to see once we start taking in claims. As of now, I'd say we probably (60%) won't be allowing colonies (This includes my colonies and those of all the other nations involved).
