Most of the troops recalled

Following the decision of the government and of the parliament, most of the troops present in the territory of New Atenea are returned in their bases in Antanares. According to a note released from the ARROW Enforcer Command, only the SOG and the Engineers are now present in the territory of the new free nation, with a little escort of cruisers and frigates that are anchored in the main port of the region under the Coalition control. The SOG are actually deployed to support the efforts of the local forces to eliminate all the remnants supporters of Snow and to train the local police force, while the Engineer Division continue to work to the reconstruction of the nation, helping the local and the engineers sent by two companies of Antanares, the JMC and the PSC. The two companies are actually involved in the process of reconstruction of the nation, with aids and supports for the local companies and joint venture activities with some partners in the area.

Even though the recent evolution of the international situation around New Atenea, neither government or the parliament released any notes about the statements and the decisions of some country involved. After the deployment of troops near the border from Zackalantins and Ireland and the decision of the UPS to reinforce its position in the area, no new orders were give to the troops of Antanares in the area. Out of both the organization, according to an insider, Antanares is more worried about the future of New Atenea and the phase of reconstruction, rather than the international games around it.

Antanares against the Court of Justice

The government of Antanares released a statement against the recent decision of the Court of Justice and, according to the statement, against the judges and the procurator of it for the recent decision to condemn Coriolanus Snow to the death penalty. "Antanares is against the death penalty and is against the violation of the basic rights of a citizens of a nation of a Esamir" is write in the note released "It is really hypocrite from the Court of Justice and from its members release a condemnation of death after the recent institution of the "Human Rights Act" from the assembly, where, in the first section, is write about the right of life to every citizens of the Esamir. Call Against the Death Penalty

Australian Eltebena joined with the Federation of Antanares today to speak against the recent decision of the Court of Justice to Sentence Coriolanus Snow to the Death Penalty as well as the decision of the Ienarian Government to execute two Atanean and Irish prisoners for drug smuggling. In both cases we implore the Ienaran government and the Court of Justice to consider different sentences for the people involved. We also thank the Court of Justice for reviewing its sentence of Capital Punishment.

Australian Eltebian Soldiers to be deployed to Atanea

The Australian Eltebian Prime Minister, Defence Minister and Foreign Minister also jointly announced the decision to deploy 6000 soldiers and other personnel (20% of total force) from the Australian Defence Force (ADF), Australian Federal Police (AFP) and the Australian Eltebian Humanitarian Aid Organisation (HAO) to Atanea in order to help rebuild after the damage from the recent war and also to defend Atanea in the event of an invasion by Ireland or Zackalantis. If such an event occurs the 4500 soldiers from the ADF are trained extensively in Guerrilla Warfare and will join the other soldiers deployed by the other various nations.

Secretary of State Steps Down

Secretary of State, Katrina Boone announced her resignation as Secretary of State today. This comes after the President ordered the deployment of 250,000 troops to the Irish-Antanean Border and his flying to Zackalantis without consulting her. Boone said in a speech from the Presidential Palace "President Burgsman has brought on an international fiasco. And I do not agree with one bit of it. He deployed 250,000 troops to the Irish Border to "secure" it who does he think he is fooling? He's not fooling me or anyone else. And we all know why they are there. If you don't shame on you. The President did not consult me on this. Does he know what this is causing? Or is he simply doing this for fair gain? Who knows, that does not matter to me. What matters is what this is causing. He might be the cause of another World War. And this will not help our nations supposed 'neutral' stance. If President Burgsman cared anything about neutrality he would have never deployed 250,000 troops to the border. I can not serve along side a President that acts like this. He is a fool. Shame on the President and Shame on the Liberal Party for supporting this. You are the death of this nation."

Boone may be the first Secretary to resign but many believe others such as the Secretary of Defense will resign also.

The Attorney General's Office has promised to launch an investigation into the President's actions to see if they are legal. "My job is to advise the Government on whether proposed actions are legal. The President is supposed to notify the entire Cabinet before an action is taken. The President consulted no one except the UKZ Government. My office will launch an investigation into this. We can not let the President get away with illegal actions. If we find that these actions are illegal we will ask Congress to start the impeachment process. And if they are legal the President will have my resignation" said Attorney General Harold Foster.

MONTERREY - The Scott Commission continued high level discussions today as the situation in the former state of Atanosia continues to evolve. A new kingdom was declared recently within the new state of Atenea, born out of the ashes of the dystopian Atanosia. A new constitution was written which established a hybrid republican and monarchist state with democratically elected officials and a king. The King, Charlevik Elnaré, was part of the royal lineage of Atenea and has been welcomed by the national community.

The Conservative Scott Commission proposed legislation designed to finish the role of Planita within the region. The bill called the Atenean Affairs Act were created by the Vice-Chancellors and the Commissioner on Foreign Affairs. The bill would: a) officially recognize sovereignty of the state of Atenea, b) pledge to donate 50 million Plaens to the nation and c) maintenance of neutral relations with the new state for the next year. The bill will arrive in the crosshairs of the National Assembly later this week where it will no doubt face opposition. Most of the new Assembly is critical of Chancellor Scott with the United People’s Party and the Liberal Party being the most raucous. Many are critical of the Commission’s role in the Planitan intervention in Atanoisa .The Bill is expected to be heavily attacked but is likely to pass.

The criticism against Chancellor Scott continues is due to Planitan involvement in the Atanosian Crisis. The Scott Administration conducted air and missile strikes against the dictator’s forces which eventually led to Planitan Military Task Forces being deployed. Total casualties were a total of 10 which resulted in 3 deaths, mostly from the MTF unit. This drew sharp criticism especially from the left and center. The more moderate right UPP, called the involvement a “thinly disguised ploy to promote his party’s image”. It has seemed to have worked with a +7% increase in the approval rating of the Scott Commission. This may be the result of the rescue of the Hunger Game tributes ordered by the Chancellor. At any rate, this did little to satifiy the National Assembly who will take part in the election of a new Chancellor and Commission in a few months.

MONROVIA - The State Council’s Committee on Foreign Affairs approved the first set of plans for the implementation of the Tarajani Antanaresian Planitan or TAP Community. The Community was established in a series of high level talks in Planita the Tarajani and Antanaresian leaders last month. A treaty was established soon after. The stated goal of the Community is to “encourage economic competitiveness and promote regional unity.” The goal is being pursued with several projects which are currently being implemented. Interestingly enough, Eurasia, New Zealand, and Europe are creating an alliance of their own, a “Tripartite Pact”. It remains to be seen what this alliance will strive for.

Current Projects
Common Market: To establish a common unified economic market interconnecting all parties. The Market will see the lifting of trade restrictions, free movement of labor and production, and the coordination of economic policies. Would simplify international trading and economic activities.
Free Movement Zone: The abolition of passports and any other type of border control at common borders with the implementation of a common visa policy.
Regional Exchange Network: A central stock exchange platform connecting multiple brokers in the multiple stock markets through a single network. Would create a fair and well-informed market for financial securities and an internationally competitive market.

After hearing news of the two neighboring countries assembling armed personel on the Atanean borders, the national council called in a session to think of a response to these joint actions made by the Zach and Irish governments with only one obvious solution in mind. The Atanean Council has publicly condemned the recent activites of the two nations and their constitutional governments, the speaker of the council included the justifications of their decision in a statement he made shortly after the condemnation. "Borders are geopolitical buffer zones and should be utilized as such but seeing our neighbors using them like bunkers against us will not be tolerated, thus we condemn the two nations and their governments." Shortly after, a legislation was passed that involved sending specific military divisions from the Atanean Armed Forces which were established and trained with the help of Europe and Eurasia, as well as foreign aid from some of the most advanced countries in the world which makes the AAF one of the most skilled and advanced militaries in the world. Their new presence on the borders certainly catched attention from militias on the other side and soldiers assigned to corresponding locations didn't have any good comments about the attitudes of the Zach and Irish forces whom were often seen spitting or pissing over the border onto Atanean soil.

In other news, the council didn't resort to mere condemnation of Ireland and Zackalantis but have prepared sanctions against them by putting military and governing officials on blacklist and freezing their assets within Atanea. The sanctions also included the restriction of companies from the two states on accessing Atanea's rapidly growing economy which is developing increased investment possibilities and interests in the nation from abroad, helping the nation recover quicker and perhaps even grow larger than the previous state and guarantee it a seat among the ruling powers of the international community. The enhanced economy is expected to improve culture in Atanea and allow it to rebuild its ruined cities into architectural achievements that will hopefully serve as global trade hubs.

The war in the old Atenosia is ended, the Snow regime has been eradicated, and reconstruction efforts are on-going in New Atanea.
However, peace seems to be far from acquired.
The recent movements of troops of Irish and Zack troops, justified as protective measures against the inflow of refugees from the ashes of war, are rising new tensions in the north-east of the continent, since New Atanea answered to a maneuver perceived as aggressive by mobilitating its own military on the borders.
A situation which is clearly perceived in Astana as dangerous and, moreover, too near to its own borders to be further ignored.
A series of high-level meetings involving the Imperial Council, the Council of Chiefs of Staff of OMNI Enforcer and King Friederick himself, took place in the last days, while the government kept the silence over its position.
Finally, the result of those meetings has been revealed, in a press conference held at the Palace of Government by Prime Minister Count Carl Van Houden:
"The state of tensions between the United Kingdom of Zackalantis, Ireland and New Atanea is deeply concerning New Tarajan" he said "for this reason, and for the sake of peace and stability in our continent and near our borders, we have contacted the Irish and Zack governments, requesting clarifications about their intentions."
The answers have been "reasonable" he continued "since both governments confirmed their non-aggressive intentions toward New Atanea, and the sole preemptive nature of their movements."
"However" the PM stated "New Tarajan cannot ignore the concerns of New Atanea as well: a young nation, just born out from the ashes of a terrible war, who felt itself aggrieved and threatened by its neighbours."
"Consequently, we need to address this issue once and for all: the Tarajani Government ask to both sides to immediately withdraw their own troops from the respective borders to a safe distance in order to avoid the possibility of a further increase of tensions."
But New Tarajan has no intention to simply stop its action there: "Understanding that these tensions are caused by a ground of concerns, misunderstandings and sense of threat, if we really wish to ease tensions, we need to address their roots as well. This is why I ask to both sides to come in Sharazad, the capital of North Ajania, to a Conference overseen personally by myself, as mediator, in order to find a definitive solution to these issues once and for all."


Thus, New Tarajan proposes itself as a mediator between the UKZ, Ireland and New Atanea, becoming fully involved in the delicate issues dividing the three countries.
The reason behind such new strong position is quiet clear: New Tarajan is sincerely worried about the possibility of a new conflict, the third one, so near its borders.
As the membership to the new TAP proposed by Planita already showed, Astana put as its most important political goal to keep peace, order and stability in the Illidian Continent, through every necessary mean.
It is not a mystery that, in the rooms of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, many diplomats and politicians just see the behavior of the neighbouring countries as "unresponsible, dangerous, and honestly childish" as an anonymous member of the Ministry once said when interviewed two days ago.
Although far more conciliative and diplomatic in the tone, the intervention of Prime Minister Van Houden easily shows that, at the heart, this view is now shared also by the government itself.
The message of the Prime Minister can be easily summarized as follows: New Tarajan is sick and tired to see tensions arising near its borders, with all the negative consequences on its economy, its society (thousands of refugees found their way in North Ajania and in the Kingdom during the last wars), and particularly on its tourist sector; thus, the Kingdom will do everything necessary to keep things in order, even directly confronting the responsibles of those tensions, and making them understand that it will no more pay the price of their behavior.



Surely connected to this new state-of-affairs of the Tarajani diplomacy, is also the birth of the new Tripartite Alliance between New-Zealand, Eurasia and Europe.
Prime Minister Van Houden addressed the issue during his press conference, affirming "the deeply appreciation of the Tarajani Government toward the birth of this new organization that, we are sure, will greatly contribute to the building of a more safe, more stable, world."
Words of admiration which were unexpected by some analysts, while others describe them as "natural and obvious".
New-Zealand is still the No.1 trade and economic partners of the Kingdom, while ties with Eurasia and Europe greatly increased during the common fight in Atenosia. An alliance between the three countries is seen by the Tarajani Government with favour, and rumors from the Palace of Government say even that the Prime Minister is seriously thinking about eventually submitting a Tarajani request for admission.
On the other side, there is the Tarajani-Antanaresian-Planitan Community (or TAP), a new creation birth during the last journey of King Friederick in Monterrey, and which is coming increasingly at the attentions of governments and political analysts for its ambitious programs of integration.
About them, Van Houden has given a clear response: "New Tarajan will strongly support any further development of the TAP, in every field, political, economic and military. We believe that the TAP has a strong potential to become a positive factor, and an active actor, in the international arena; we believe also that it perfectly corresponds to the Tarajani interests in the same arena."
It was impossible to state more clearly and strongly the support enjoyed by the TAP in the Tarajani Government.
But this position shows also something else: New Tarajan is re-orienting its own diplomacy toward new goals, and new perpectives. The goals are clear: to keep the Empire safe, to protect the interests of all Imperial States, to keep peace and stability in the international arena, and particularly near the borders, and to find new spaces for economic cooperation and integration.
And, confronting these goals with the actual situation, it is evident how Astana is not satisfied at all: tensions near its borders caused by what is perceived by an unresponsible behavior of some countries made the government feel the need to distance itself from its actual positions, and to find a good counter-balance in renewed ties with historical partners.
The world is changing: with the birth of the Tripartite Alliance and the TAP, both UPS and SECURS are loosing their effectiveness and, above all, their importance in the eyes of their most prominent members.
And New Tarajan shall adapt itself.

During the last meeting with the journalists, Enrique De Letta, spokesperson of the Council of the Prince, said that the government and the Bruma are worried about the recent escalation between Ireland, Zackalantins and New Atenea "I understand the problems of Ireland and Zackalantis" said the spokesperson "But raise defense and place men and tanks are not a good idea. We did a great job in Atenea and I think this escalation, now, would destroy all the sacrifice done in the last months of war. We lost soldiers, brothers and sons against the regime of Snow. Everyone has lose someone and I think, in the name of who is died, we must be calm and try to resolve with the diplomacy this problem". The speech is also a sort of non-official support of the proposal of New Tarajan for a conference about the actual situation with all the parts in the camp.

Antanares, in these days, maintain a low presence of military in the area, with the necessary troops only to protect the medic camps of the Red Cross, the engineers at work to help the local populations and trainers for the local police force. Most of the antanaresian now present in the territory of New Atenea are civilians that work for the two companies, the Javoran Manufactured Company and the Prima Savarola Consortiums, that operate in the territory of New Atenea. An insider of the ARROW Enforcer Command said that the command is ready with some plans to rescue, eventually, all the civilians in the territory in case of a war escalation in the area.

After the exit of Antanares from the SECURS and the relatively recent creation of the Union Sphere of Collaboration, the work of Antanares in the international field was very very little. The stabilization of the international situation, especially between the big of the scene, especially after the war between SECURS and UPS, demonstrate how the position of Antanares doesn't need the support of a bigger alliance to be strong and how, with only face-to-face treaties, the Federation was able to create for herself a role on the international scene. The Great Ball is a long-standing tradition of the Tarajani life: used to celebrate major events and anniversaries, it is a melting pot of aristocratic elegance, finesse and power.
King Friederick Wilhelm knew his actual wife, Queen Beatrice, at his first Great Ball. And the wedding itself was another occasion to celebrate.
Now, a new Great Ball will take place in Vieneskel, the royal estate at the outskirts of Astana, traditional place for the Great Balls. The occasion is the 18th birthday of Prince Sigismund Heinrich Conrad Constantin Hourani, first son of the King, and heir to the throne of New Tarajan.
The announcement already came months ago: however, unfortunately, the preparations were cut off with the beginning of the war in Atenosia.
Now that the war is over, and New Tarajan seemingly enjoys peace once again, it is a good time to celebrate.
Invitations are being sent to all countries of the world: the Great Ball is an occasion for aristocrats from every corner of the globe to meet each other. The Tarajani aristocracy will participate en masse, and it is expected an high presene of foreign dignitaries and royals.
No details have been revealed over the exact calendar of the events which will mark the Ball, but everyone can be sure that it will be a memorable ceremony, worth of the most beautiful fairy tale.

Today in the capital of Montsilvanu, Crown Prince Henric of Duresia (de facto head of state of Duresia) announced that he and his delegation will attend the great ball of Vieneskel, in his official speech Crown Prince Henric stated following :



' I can't wait to see my beloved nephew, brother in law, and of course my beloved older sister Beatrice, the delegation attending together with me will be composed of myself and many nobles, politicians and buissnessmen renowned in Duresia'

MONTERREY - The Scott Government expressed its concern over the escalation in the war torn region of Anatea. Justifying their activities as protection, Ireland and the UKZ massed their forces to their border respective to Anatea. This drew swift condemnation from Atanean itself as well as nearby nations as it was perceived as an hostile move. The Government and the Committee on Foreign Affairs convened in high level talks on how to deal with the situation. In a statement today, Vice Chancellor and High Representative of Foreign Affairs, Jonathan Marks said, “We are especially concerned by the actions of the nation next to this fledgling nation. We have grave concern that these nations do not have the best interest of Atanea in mind.”

Nevertheless, the Government sent its congratulations on the crowning of their new king. In a statement Vice-Chancellor Marks stated, ”We are pleased of the crowing of a new King. It is obvious that he enjoys the popular of his people. While we regret we cannot personally attend the inauguration due to pressing matters at home, we nevertheless are pleased. We wish the new government great prosperity.”

EURASIA CONGRATULATES NEW ZEALAND ON DISCOVERING ROYAL BLOODLINE

The Eurasian Government has officially offered its congratulations to the new-found heir to the Royal bloodline in New Zealand, with the Premier releasing a statement on the matter. "We are delighted that the people of our closest neighbor and ally have found someone who appears to be the heir to their royal bloodline. Should the Kiwi Government opt to make her the Queen of New-Zealand, Eurasia will fully support the decision, being that it is the will of the people." While many nations in Esamir have a monarchical history, Eurasia has enjoyed a democratic, or at least non-hereditary, form of government since its conception. Thus, there never was nor will there ever be a Eurasian Monarch, or bloodline. Some Eurasian Commonwealths had monarchs prior to their incorporation into the Eurasian Empire (ante res publica), but they are not recognized as legitimate by any authority above the Commonwealth level.

The Premier did comment on the matter of the resurgence in royalty in response to a reporter's inquiry, saying the following: "While some of our allies may be rediscovering their long-lost monarchs, Eurasia has no plan to do so as of currently. As far as I am aware, we have never had any legitimate hereditary leadership, so we can safely expect nothing to come out of the woodwork, so to speak. That said, we are happy for our allies and friends should they choose to establish monarchies. To each his own, as it were."

In other news, a delegation of Eurasian officials, composed of the Premier, Deputy Premier, and other cabinet level ministers will attend the Vieneskel Ball, hosted by New Tarajan, to celebrate the eighteenth birthday of Prince Sigismund, son of the Tarajani King.

The last news coming from the Social Democracy of New-Zealand seems to have deeply affected the Imperial and Royal House.
The discovery of a last direct descendant of Prince Albrecht Gustav (better known with his battle-name of Vladimir Lenin) means also the discovery of a forgotten line of House Van Vinkel.
Thus, while the preparations for the Great Ball of Vieneskel are still on-going at the Royal Estate and in the capital, a spokesperson of the Imperial and Royal House confirmed that King Friederick Wilhelm and Queen Beatrice personally sent two letters, through the Tarajani Ambassador in New-Zealand, to the Government and Miss Sunderland respectively.
The first one is a letter of congratulations for the discovery, together with the offer to institute a joint Tarajani-NZ museum focused on the turbolent period which saw the actions of Prince Albrecht/Lenin changing the future of the New-Zealand; the second letter is an official inviation, for Miss Sunderland, to come in New Tarajan soon before the Great Ball, to personally meet the sovereigns. Also, Miss Sunderland has been invited to join the Great Ball in Vieneskel.
A decision also motivated, probably, by the fact that, due the low number of living members of the House, effectively Miss Sunderland is, through her blood ties, in the list of the possible heirs of the Tarajani throne, exactly like her ancestor.
No comments have been made by House Van Vinkel nor the Tarajani Government about the possibility of a restauration of the monarchy in the Social-Democracy.
The spokesperson of the Imperial and Royal House limited herself to say that "There are many different form of governments, between the pure monarchy and the pure republic, which would allow a good compromise between the historical government tradition of New-Zealand and the new discovery. But this is not a matter to be discussed by us. New Tarajan will always respect the national sovereignty of any country, particularly of its allies. We have no authority to discuss about decisions which are sole responsibility of the New-Zealand government and people."

MONTERREY - In one of the largest and costly general elections in national history, Planitan voters handed power in equal measure to the Democratic Left and the United People’s Party. The results of the elections, beginning on January 7th, drew mild surprise despite the fact the results were widely anticipated. The importance of the election is not to be underestimated, as all 1065 seats of the legislature were up for vote, commonly known as a Super Election. The elections now cast into doubt the continued existence of the Scott Government, containing a Conservative and Free Democratic majority. With the Assembly to put the Government on the chopping block, many see this as the continued decline of the right.

The decline of the PCC began after the 2000 elections, with a shift to more left leaning parties. This election been the worst year on record for the party and its traditional partner the FDP. The PCC seized only 72 seats in the Assembly and 65 seats in the Council, only 11 percent and 17 percent of the vote respectively. The Free Democratic fared worse; for the first time, the party failed to reach the minimum threshold of 5% of the vote in the National Assembly and was not represented. With its support gone, the party was restricted to the opposition and had no possibility of forming a Government in which it had a majority in. A spokesperson for the Conservatives said in a statement, “While we did not get as many seats as we like to, we are nevertheless committed to working together with the new Government.”

The main actors in the new stage is a newfound coalition between the United People’s Party and the Democratic Left. While such a coalition would be rare in parliamentary systems, the Planitan method of electing a Government encourages politics along more consensual lines. The coalition was the brainchild of Maren Walker, a MA from the Democratic Left, who saw the need for such an agreement due to the voting projections. She, with approval from the President of the DL, approached the leaders of the UPP with an agreement in early-November. Finally, after so much waiting, the Great Ball, probably the most glamour and aristocratic event of the world, has begun.
The event, which will take three days, has been declared opened by King Friederick Wilhelm and Queen Beatrice, in front of the the hundreds of participants, aristocrats, sovereigns and leaders from all over the world, gathering, for the occasion, at the Royal Estate of Vieneskel, not far from Astana.
"It is with great pride, and honour, that we declare open this event, celebrating the birthday of our beloved son, and heir to the throne of this wonderful country, Prince Sigismund Heinrich Conrad Constantin Hourani Van Vinkel-Hoensbroek Dampierre, while welcoming all of you here, at Vieneskel." said the two sovereigns.
The opening ceremony consisted of a valzer, a Royal Banquet offered by the Landsraad, night fireworks all over the estate, and every kind of amenities.
Particularly moving has been the meeting between the Imperial and Royal Family and the Duresian Crown Prince Henric, brother of Queen Beatrice (and thus, brother-in-law of the King and uncle of the young Prince).

Newlyweds King Charlevik and Duchess Marguerite sealed their love on the famous Drets Palace balcony today to the delight of the nation. The bride and groom appeared with their families to acknowledge the thousands of well-wishers crowded along The Mall. They exchanged a kiss to roars of approval. Charlevik and Marguerite were proclaimed "man and wife" at a historic ceremony at Dresden Abbey. The king and his beautiful bride, who will now be Queen, pledged their love for one another in the ancient surrounds, watched by millions across the globe. With her new husband at her side and a ring on her finger, Duchess Marguerite left the abbey as the Duchess of Cabelre - Charlevik was made a duke by the Queen. A congregation of 5,000 and up to thirty billion people saw their vows, as they were beamed live around world. In the presence of several politicians, leaders, ministers and other guests in the abbey, Charlevik placed Marguerite's simple gold wedding band on her finger.

After stepping outside at the Sunlit Gate, they joined a carriage procession of magnificent pomp and splendour and headed to the Palace following the ceremony, ready to watch the traditional flypast from the balcony. After the couple arrived at the palace, a sea of people followed them down The Mall, eager for a glimpse of them on the balcony. They were not disappointed. Behind her was her maid of honour and sister charmingly holding hands with the youngest of the bridesmaids - both just three-years-old. Miss Margeurite made her way to the Lantern, where she finally met Charlevik, resplendent in his dashing red military uniform, at the Sacrarium steps. Dean of Drets Jacéuel Saeliér began the service with the famous words: "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here in the sight of God and in the face of this congregation, to join together this man and this woman in holy matrimony..." The cleric went on to utter the immortal lines: "...if any man can shew any just cause why they may not lawfully be joined together, let him now speak, or else hereafter forever hold his peace." Charlevik spoke in public for the first time today when he replied "I will" in a clear and strong voice to the Archbishop’s question about whether he would "love, comfort, honour and keep" Marguerite. His bride spoke more softly when she said "I will" in response to the same question.

The wedding day became a magical public spectacle when the bride and groom left the abbey and climbed into the State Landau for a procession through the famous streets of central Dresden. Crowds who had been gathering since early this morning cheered and waved at the couple as they passed by in the Captain's Escort with the Iron Cavalry Regiment. Charlevik and Marguerite returned the waves and smiled back at the tens of thousands who lined crash barriers from the abbey to Drets Palace. The royal limousine went up in flames or rather "exploded", causing debris to fly into the royal couple's escorts and killing atleast 3, with 7 severely wounded. The unfortunate occurrence stunned witnesses and escorts and the scene was immediately closed off by the national intelligence agency personel and federal police bureau units where all clues to the cause of this mishap would be excavated and used in investigations into the matter.
It's obvious that this will have a major impact on the nation's constitution as the king was supposed to be made the head of state after the next congressional elections and not only that but the Atanean populace was shocked by this, including the relatives of the two royals. The Ministry of Defense had announce the end of the peace mission in New Atenea. According to a note of the ministry, most of the military will return in the next two days in Antanares. First it was surprise, then shock. Then, finally, it became anger.
These have been described as the reactions of the participants of the Great Ball of Vieneskel, while being informed of the terrorist attack which provoked the death of King Charlevik Elnarè of New Atanea and his wife, Queen Marguerite Louise Antoinette Van Sondenburg-Sorenberg.
Immediately after being informed, apparently with calm and composure, King Friederick stepped out, and informed all the participants of the tragic event; then, he declared the Ball suspended.
But behind this apparence of calm, the Tarajani Royal Family, the government, and the entire country, are deeply shocked.
King Friederick, immediately returned in Astana, has gathered a meeting with the Imperial Council, then with the Prime Minister alone. After that, both the King and PM Van Houden had a long meeting with the Council of Chiefs of Staff of OMNI Enforcer, the Imperial military, and with the heads of the intelligence agencies of the Kingdom.
Finally, the King held a press conference, addressing both the Empire and New Atanea, and expressing his sincerest condolences.
"Whoever is behind this monstrous act of terrorism" said a moved King: "We will hunt him, find him and bring upon him the justice of the Gods."
The King continued by saying "if we will discover that behind this terrorist attack, there is one or more countries, I feel obliged to inform them that this will be considered an act of war against the Empire, with the all the dire consequences for them."
When asked about the hypothesis of a UPS involvement, however, the King downplayed "The entire Tarajani Government believes this is extremely exaggerated. The UPS is not a mix of terrorist countries. Out there there are many good and old friends and allies of New Tarajan." he said "No, the responsibles must be elsewhere."
