NEW TARAJAN WORRIED ABOUT CHACKLE NUCLEAR PROGRAM
Concerns rise for Oghon independence
Port Hammad.
The government of Ashar, in a note released this morning by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate, expressed
"the deepest worries of the Sultan and his Government about the decision of the Chackle regime to create a nuclear program for military purposes."The note reflects well the rising concerns inside the Sultanate about the safety of its own borders and people in front of the new communist, aggressive and militaristic regime established in Chackle after the overthrowing of the local monarchy.
New Tarajan, under pressure of the Ashari government, has also stated its position:
"We condemn the decision of the Chackle regime: in a country which is now just exiting from a revolution, the political stability is not sufficient to give any guarantee to the International Community about the safe storage and even the use of nuclear weapons." Prime Minister Van Houden said, also adding that
"We are actually examining any possible response, including an embargo and direct economic sanctions to be requested inside the United Nations of Esamir."But first and foremost, the most direct response will surely be the strengthening of the powerful so-called Space Shield on Ashar, the satellite-coordinated web system which protects all the Imperial States by any kind of ballistic and missile attack: OMNI has just began to deploy new mobile anti-missile units on the border with Chackle, also increasing air and satellite surveillance over the area, particularly through HARDENED, which will help OMNI in identifying the sites where the Chackle program is being carried on.
The whole issue is being also complicated by the news coming from the Chackle southern province of Oghon, who just recently declared its independence from the central government.
The proving borders with Ashar, and while the Chackle regime already announced that it will not tolerate this act of defiance, the Sultanate is worried that the ensuing conflict would further increase the flow of refugees already fleeing toward its borders from Chackle, and even that the Chackle troops could profit of the occasion to deliberate trespass in the north-eastern provinces of Ashar, around the city of Jalahar.
While the surveillance of OMNI (which already deployed troops in the area to help Ashar managing the flow of refugees) should avoid such a possibility, Astana shares many of these concerns.
New Tarajan still has not announced its direct support to Oghon independence, but Prime Minister Van Houden remarked that
"New Tarajan will not tolerate any violation of human rights and any death of innocent civilians just in front of the borders of one of the Imperial States."Chackle will probably be at the center of a new round of negotiations between Van Houden and Duresian Chancellor Koffbek, taking the opportunity offered by his presence in Kresburg, in order to decide about a common policy toward the regime, particularly now that Duresiahas officially joined OMNI Enforcer.
OMNI TRAINS NEW MILITIAS IN THE GOLD COAST
Raids intensified in North Khanate; troops pushing on Tashkent
Meanwhile, the conflict in the Khanate intensifies: the task force by OMNI Enforcer, composed of Duresian, Arveyran, Antanaresian and Tarajani troops, has ensured the complete liberation of the Gold Coast, the southernmost part of the country, where Arveyres has already begun to build humanitarian and first-aid facilities and infrastructures.
OMNI is also beginning the training of a new militias for the region. The goal, as declared by General Felmann, is
"to ensure that this land is protected against any further attack or infiltration operated by the Jashinist terrorists. The inhabitants of the Gold Coasts want to defend their own land: we are giving them this opportunity."The militias, which will take the name of
Gold Coast Defense Force (GCDF), will be composed by many battaillons, also with vehicles leased by OMNI Enforcer (mainly APCs, utility vehicles, and few tanks), and will answer to the new local government risen under OMNI protection
"to ensure the governance of this area so much damaged by the conflict."This is happening while OMNI troops are pushing towards Tashkent, liberating village after village, and now going to definitively break the siege of the capital of the Khanate, under the constant protection of the air force, which is also beginning raids in the Northern part of the country: while communications between the two parts have been interdicted by the presence of an OMNI CVBG, the air strikes will further help the destabilization of the command structure of the Jashinists; a task which will also be the goal of new operations carried by the RHIELD.
