New Tarajan has one of the worlds most ancient and important cultural heritages of the world.
As such, cultural diplomacy has been always a key tool for Astana to secure relations with key partners, and to increase the knowledge of Tarajani history and cultural all over the globe.
Past governments addressed the issue through many means, including the establishment of foreign academies in Astana, a successful initiative which greatly increased Tarajani cultural projection in the world.
Now, after months of stop, caused by continuous international crisis and tensions and fears of incoming wars, Astana decided to take back its role as promoter of cultural diplomacy.
Prime Minister Count Carl Van Houden made it clear in the speeches he delivered during the re-opening of Javed Temple in Muraz, and at the Tarajani delegation at the International Congress of Historical, Archaeological and Paleographical Studies.
"New Tarajan shall build upon its culture" he said: "Because through it, we can build a better understanding with all the other peoples living out there in the world. Reciprocal understanding is the most critical step to be taken in order to achieve peace."
As such "our government will support the establishment of new foreign Academies in Astana, new international educational institutions, and we will promote initiatives by the Academies already established in our country."
New Tarajan will thus invite every country which still do not have an Academy to establish its own in Astana as soon as possible, actively re-opening the old program of previous governments.
Together with this, the government will also actively fund archaeaological and exploration expeditions all over the world, and the establishment of exchange student networks with as many countries as possible.


Meanwhile, New Tarajan is going forward in its own space program.
While Tarajani space agency and private aerospace firms are actively participating to Antanares program for Mars, achieving astounding results, New Tarajan is also building something new on its own.
The Jahan Space Colony will be the first human colony in Earth orbit ever built: a colossal O'Neill cylinder, aimed at hosting an entire city, with a projected population of five hundreds people.
"The colony will be a fundamental step forward in achieving human exploration of the stars, helping us living outside Earth, and contributing to our knowledge of how human beings could react to such new habitat." Minister of Space Duchess Amalia Blanche Van DerGrudeln said.
New Tarajan already owns three space stations, including a military one, actually orbiting the Earth, and has one of the most advanced aerospace industries in the world.

The UKZ as promised in parliament successfully launched zackalntis' first satellite to Mars, Catherine I
Named after the former monarch of UKZ who was a patron of the sciences and an astrologer herself.

This satellite is going to take several pictures of the martian surface for scientific purposes.

Political analysts however state that this satellite launched by UKZ is an attempt to spy on the other nations who are establishing colonies. The President of the ZASR, Rajesh Kumar, however stated that this satellite has only been launched for scientific purposes. UKZ wishes to do a great deal of research on the red planet.

Mr. Kumar also stated that UKZ will be sending a small contingent of astronauts to continue research on the ground. Such a project he says has been under development for a long time and is almost nearing completion... just a month or so he says and they will be ready for launch.

His Majesty's Minister for Research and Development says that there are no ulterior motives behind this mission. And he also confirmed that UKZ too will soon be putting men on mars. He was quick to clarify that is not colonisation.

His Majesty's Ministry of Foreign Affairs however said they will soon be working on a draft resolution to the General Assembly and Security Council to declare of colonies in space illegal and call for their immediate disbanding.

The Imperial Ministry of Defense announced today that the prototype frigate INS Aegis Fate had completed production and would go on to be tested in space. The frigate, which is the second smallest classification that the new line of ships is expected to have (the corvette class is smallest, but they are top secret and nothing is known about them), was built in secret in the "dry" docks constructed on the moon years ago. The project, which was codenamed Potentia, has been in the works for some time now, and Aegis Fate's construction is rumored to have taken over five years to complete, not to mention the costly production of the reactors and experimental weapons systems (which have not been installed yet). Experiments on larger, more permanent ships have been in the works since before the establishment of the moon bases, but the major problem was building a massive and extremely heavy spacecraft in Earth gravity and then getting it off the ground, so to speak. Many early experiments ended in loss of life and failure, and it was only after the development of the off-Earth bases that the ability to produce the vessels began in earnest. The main hope is that the ships can function both as defensive platforms for the Empire and also as transports for colonists and supplies, hopefully eventually further than Mars, but for now just to the moon and the Red Planet.

The Emperor held a press conference discussing the new developments, flanked by the Minister of Defense, saying "The development of these new ships are an exciting show of progress from what has been admittedly a frustrating field of technology for some time now. Our hope is to create multitudes of these vessels to serve both as defensive means for the Empire and as transportation platforms for colonists and supplies to reach Mars. The budgetary aspects of this cannot be understated as well. Now, instead of having to launch new shuttles and spend vast sums of Pesetas on new rockets and whatnot, we can now launch smaller shuttles directly to meet the ship, and hopefully ships, which will then travel to our planetary neighbors. The Aegis Fate will first travel to the Red Planet and back to test its functionality, but the Imperial Government is confident in its ability to perform, and this is essentially reassurance for some of the project's detractors."




The Imperial Government also announced their intentions to create an orbital elevator to allow faster transport of people and supplies into orbit, which would be attached terrestrially in the city of Ausona, where it will climb high into orbit. The cable itself will be composed of carbon nanothreads, which are lighter and of higher tensile strength than other candidate materials. The elevator will be used for commercial interests, allowing goods to be brought into orbit and sent to the colonies, as well as transporting colonists quickly into orbit so they may meet the newly created Aegis Fate and other colony ships when they are produced. The Imperial Space Administration has expressed its plans to create other tethers eventually in other parts of the Empire, but the primary focus now is on the current cable.

The cable's construction is rumored to cost a whopping $30 billion pesetas, but the Imperial Treasury has denied these rumors and claimed the price tag is "nowhere near that hilarious estimate." The elevator will be attached to a docking station in space, which is also designed to withstand the stresses of space and to be able to dock with varying sizes of ships and shuttles. It will also double as a station to produce satellites and launch them without needing costly rockets to escape Earth's strong gravity.

Following the Eurasian announcement of the INS Aegis Fate, the NZSA has released their prototypes to the public, drawing wonder and awe from all faucets of the nation. The ships are a part of the previously benched "Endeavour" project, and are to be powered by the top secret NZSA Hall Effect Thrusters, named after Dr. Hall who was the brains behind the project. The Hall effect Thrusters, and the Endeavour Class are patented by the NZSA, but it is thought that the Social Democracy will be willing to share this technology with close working partners such as Eurasia and USE. 

The "Endeavour" project was a top secret high end project that the NZSA had been working on for nearly two decades. The backbone of this project was the Hall Effect Thrusters, which allow the ships to efficiently convert Electric energy into propulsion, meaning the ships can carry high power nuclear reactors instead of heavy fuel, drastically increasing the range and speed of the spacecrafts. The project itself hit a breakthrough in 2003 (When Dr. Hall built a working prototype), and in the following years large sums of money were spent working out the kinks. It reached a point where in early 2009 the NZSA was so confident in their ability to build a working full size Endeavour Class Frigate, that they went as far as to formally apply to the Cabinet for $34Bn NZDs in order to fund the project. At this time, the NZSA was operating with a yearly budget of around $32 Bn, and with this application, the Agency was requesting nearly $70Bn NZD. Reports, however, show that Jefferson and his Socialist Government were strongly in favor of approving the project. In the following April, when the yearly budget went up for approval, disaster struck. The Conservatives shut down the parliament by holding the bill at a deadlock. The resulting economic collapse and hasty government reforms meant the NZSA was scrapped all together, and they're funding dropped to a meager $800 Million, just enough to maintain their facilities. Naturally, Endeavour was benched, and successive governments were hesitant to spend some of their relatively small budget on fringe organisations such as the NZSA. 

However, the NZSA has finally hit it's lucky break, and the fast developing space race has captivated the public. Ever since the government approved the Mars project, AKA the construction of Eden Prime (the underground colony), approval ratings have soared, and the public yearns for the NZSA to rise up and conquer mars and space itself. The fiercely patriotic population yearn to see their nation dominate the space race, and the NZSA is happy to oblige. 

Thus, Endeavour is a go, and the NZSA is set to begin construction of it's first ever dreadnought in mere weeks. The $23Bn project will take approximately 3 months to complete, and will co-inside with the completion of the Eurasian Space Elevator. It is believed that the NZSA will be using the Eurasian Space Elevator to launch the vast majority of its ships, as the Hall Effect Thrusters are fairly inefficient within the earths atmosphere. While it is possible for the dreadnought to leave without the use of an elevator, it seems the NZSA Engineers are not willing to throw the ship straight into the deep end. Preferring to start it up for the first time once it is in orbit, ensuring a failure does not cause the structure to fall back to earth in a large, extremely costly ball of flame. 




Following drastic reforms in the tax code, and labour laws, inequality has taken a sharp dive. Dropping from 5.9 to 2.3, a massive change that has the middle class grinning. That coupled with the ambitious NZSA plans for the space race has driven approval ratings up for the government, particularily the Prime Minister, up to a staggering 76% approval. Not all will be ready, not all will be with us, but we must face them, confront with them, and follow our path. Now, let me to present the next programs of Antanares ..."

Armstrong Program

One of the most important place where start the new era of space exploration would be, sure, the natural satellite of the Earth, the Moon. Until now, on the Moon were present only few bases, research centers, little outpost of the humanity. But the Armstrong Project will change everything. With one of the most massive investments, like all the other projects, never made from Antanares, the ASEA will have the resources necessaries to start a new program of expansion of the actual antanaresian Moon base. According to the details provided from the spokesperson, the Program will allow the ASEA to expand the base and transform the actual little outpost in a real colony, that will have a capacity of 50.000 colonists, The new city, that will be called Armstrong City, will be the first announced out-planet city, an important step for Antanares. The Eol Program, that will be ended in about fifteen years, thanks to the helps of ships with the capacity of exit the planet without skyrockets.
During the first part of the program the ships will launch a series of robots and automated machines that will create the main structures of each colonies. Meanwhile, with the help of top-of-the-art civilian drones, engineers from the Orbital Space Base "Nanakito" will work on the central hub of the colony system, that, after its completion, will be used like main yard to continue the project. The Eol Program, according to what was said during the conference, is a "necessary step" to allow the humanity to explore the space. "Mars is far, this is a fact" said the spokesperson "And we must demonstrate, first of all, that we can work near the Earth with serenity and with success. Construct a lunar city could be a first demonstration, end the Eol Program will demonstrate that we are ready for something else".
The colonies would be a really independent environment, self-sufficient for every needs. MEIGMALANDIAN ELECTION SEASON BEGINS

With the new election in the upcoming months, it is now time for the candidates for Prime Minister to make themselves known. A major topic this season will be with the space race sweeping the world. Currently, many other countries are building small Martian colonies which will be used for scientific research, and depending on who wins this election, Meigmaland might join. This is the most heated race ever, where every political party has their say. The Conservative Party wants to remain on Earth, since this colonization is pointless to them. The Socialist Party, on the other hand, has always had their eye on turning Meigmaland into an empire, and this gives them a chance to get away with it, while hopefully keeping everyone happy on Earth. Our Liberal Party is for it, since it provides an unparalleled opportunity for space research. Our Republican Party is against this, because it is too empirical, which is exactly why the Socialist Party wants to colonize. Both the Civil Party and the Capitalist Party seem for it, but they also seem to have a focus on life here on Earth.

There are four candidates in this race. Issy Slusser is entirely registered with the Republican Party, and she believes that the current government is wasting money, and should cut a lot of money from the welfare budget. Justice York is registered with the Capitalist Party and the Conservative Party, which means he will not have much of an interest in the space race, but will try to regulate the media some more. Yuval Unruh is part of the Capitalist Party and the Republican Party, making him indifferent about the space race, but he wants to expand the welfare system, making him a direct opponent of Ms. Slusser. Its evolution, that is, into the Terran Federation. I wish to put the rumors to rest once and for all. The Terran Federation is a reality.

The Empire, New-Zealand, New Europe, and New Atanea having been working for some time on the development of a new, more powerful, and more efficacious variant of alliance that we hope will be the harbinger of better times for everyone. This agreement will establish new economic agreements similar to the one Consul Robledo negotiated with Prime Minister Lytle of New-Zealand, new military agreements, and new travel and citizenship agreements that will further legitimize our alliance to new levels. The first time the idea was presented to us was immediately after the liberation of Panem by UPS forces, and we quickly realized how beneficial this could be for all our nations. We deigned not to address the rumors directly for some time now, mainly due to the treaty still being in the negotiatory process, but now I am happy to outline the various portions of this truly historic diplomatic alliance.

Diplomatic agreements outlined therein will not only strengthen negotiations and cooperation between our nations, but it will establish the historic Federation Diplomatic Council, which will be used to increase cooperation and to further coordinate the international actions of the signatory nations. So too will international actions be now designed to operate in a cooperative capacity, insofar as the actions undertaken by the signatories will be in tandem. If that sounds like political jargon, it more or less is, so I will simplify: All the actions our nations take will be in tandem.

All military bases in the signatories will be open to one another, and cooperation of R&D projects will be mandatory as well, ensuring greater productivity and fluidity. So too will the Federation Military Council be established which will increase the cooperative nature of the treaty tenfold. In summation, military actions undertaken by one signatory will be followed in tandem by another.

I can also assuage fears that the creation of this organization will somehow mean the end of the UPS or other such organizations. That is not the case. The Terran Federation is essentially an exclusive treaty, and its adoption will not affect how the UPS functions. All previous agreements remain in effect, and they will for the foreseeable future. The Council of Ministers Summit, the first ever in SECURS history is to be hosted at Maped City, the capital city of the Union Kingdom of Mikum in UKZ.

The choice of the location is highly symbolic. It may seem odd that the Zack government did not chose the capital, Cair Paravel or the seat of the monarch, Browns City.

Maped, Mikum is the birth place of King Zacharia. He was the one to bring all of present day zackalntis and Job City and New Caucasoid (Except Telmar and Lacostasia) under one crown giving the name zackalntis.

Maped is considered as the birthplace of the monarchial form of government and king Zacharia envisioned the establishment of a constitutional monarchy. In many ways therefore Maped is the birthplace of Zackalntis.

The Summit shall witness heads of states and delegates from all SECURS nations and shall continue in Maped Castle, the home of King Zacharia.


Member states are to discuss a great number of issues. Most importantly the Terran Federation and it's relations to the SECURS and also the space race which many analysts believe is getting out of control.

As per tradition, the royal guard at Maped Castle blew bugles and gave the announcement to invite all SECURS member nations to arrive in Maped for the conference. Also the flag of UKZ has been hoisted alongside the flag bearing the SECURS emblem.

The UKZ delegation will consist of PM Potter, His Majesty's Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Majesty's Minister for Defense and His Majesty's Page.

Asticus
A large forest fire started in southern Asticus early yesterday morning and has quickly blazed out of control, with local firefighters struggling to control the flames. The Ministry of Civil Defense has taken control of the situation and attempted to quell the fire, but thus far has been unable to stop the spread of the blaze, although they have slowed it. There have been no reported casualties, but there are concerns that the flames will spread across the border into New-Zealand. The Ministry issued an emergency alert for southern Asticus, and has ordered mandatory evacuation of the area to prevent loss of life. The Ministry also released a statement on the matter, saying "We are doing our utmost to prevent its spread, but it is very likely that the fire will spread further than we can prevent. Thus, we are ordering the mandatory evacuation of southern Asticus, particularly Tenebrae, Patavium, Aretium, and Solsticum. Thankfully, there has been no loss of life, but this can only continue if the evacuation order is heeded."

A similar message was also broadcast in English for the numerous Kiwis who reside in southern Asticus, and the Civil Defense Ministry has warned the New-Zealand emergency services of the possibility of the spread.

ZUMBROTA -- As part of a movement to restore Aloia to its historical glory and traditions, the monarchy has been re-established after a 5-year stint as a republic. Former Queen Marina IV Victoria's eldest daughter has been crowned as Queen Victoria III. Royalist members of the Green Party have retaken control of the Senate and High Council and have acted to bring the monarchy back to Aloia.

After the republican White Party and anarchist Red Party formed a coalition to take control of both houses, extensive reforms were made in the Aloian government. The monarchy was abolished and the Church of Aloia was cut off from state funding.

Since the Green Party has been brought back to office, Crown Princess Victoria has been coronated as Queen of Aloia. Aloia has also returned from its time of political isolation. Aloia is ready and willing to rejoin the international community in their efforts.

This years election was a close one, and Labour had clutch at straws to lead themselves to a not so convincing victory. Mere weeks prior to the election, it looked like the centre-left labour party was looking at a landslide loss to the Centrist Liberal party in coalition with Labour's former coalition partner The Green Party. However, a fortnight before the election, incumbent PM Andre Lytle announced that he would not be running for Labour, and instead that golden boy Kris Hopkins would be making a surprise return to front line politics, running for PM as leader of Labour. Kris Hopkins was the youngest ever PM, leading the then Socialist Party to a victory against the Conservatives with at the mere age of 22. That was 16 years ago. Today, he returns aged 36, making him still the youngest ever PM, and among the youngest in Parliament. That said, age is not always an indicator of talent, something Hopkins proved time and time again. 

Almost immediately after the announcement Labour's rating skyrocketed, almost doubling over night. Why you may ask? Well, one word : Chrysler. Hopkins entered office in the midst of economic collapse mere months after the government shutdown, but his economic policies were the CPR the nation sorely needed. The revised SOE policy was his brainchild, and the re-consolidation of Holden into the Chrysler Group followed by heavy government investment was his flagship. His daring leadership saved a nation in turmoil and he is still revered by the public. 

This time however, Hopkins is no different in his daring policies. He won his last election with strong economic policies, and this time he boasts a nationalistic porfolio. Hopkins, a patriot at heart, ran his short campaign with the slogan "United We Stand" and partnered with the nationalist/populist NZ First Party. However, when met with concerns over possible racism Hopkins was quoted saying "I love my country and all it's people. I don't care what race and neither does NZ First. If you're a New-Zealander now and you integrate and contribute to our nation, then you are one of us too." On top of this Hopkins has come out in favor of NZSA funding, the Terran Federation whilst also staying committed to trade with New Tarajan and Eurasia, with more focus on the latter.

NEWS FROM ANTANARES

Historical collaboration between Aloia and Antanares

In a recent press conference, the ASEA, the space agency of Antanares, announced a news about the recent announced programs in the space of the Federation. With a real surprise declaration, the spokesperson of the ASEA announced that Aloia and Antanares will collaborate in the EOL Program, the Armostrong Project and in the Titan Edge Program. The first program, that will end in the 2030 and that will be the construction of a series of space colony in the Lagrange L3 between Moon and Earth, will see Aloia collaborate with funds, with resources and with, after the completion of the first central hub, with colonists for the new structures. The same will be for the Armstrong Program, the expansion of the Lunar City announced to end in the 2020.
Titan Edge, the program to expand the defensive capacity of the Federation with a space shield of satellites and anti-ballistic missiles systems will be expanded to protect Aloia, that will host two radar structure to link the satellites to Earth.

After the extension of the program to New Tarajan, that just send ten men to the Mars Research Bases and that collaborate, for now only with funds to the other program, the space program of Antanares is become one of the first International Space Program that the Esarmi has see in all its history. According to the spokesperson of the ASEA, with the funds of New Tarajan and Aloia and with the "extra hands" that they will bring to the programs, the efficiency will be of the 50% better then estimated and, according to the spokesperson, the timeline will be certainly respected.

It is a great news for Antanares. With these collaborations the government demonstrated another time its capacity to create strong ties with foreign nations, not only historical partners like NT, but also with other respected members of the international community, like Aloia. The creation of a joint space program is, according to ASEA, one of the first step necessary to create a state of peace on the Earth and support the efforts of the humanity to explore the space and what is beyond the Solar System.

The NZSA's first ever space frigate, the NZSA Normandy, is reportedly complete, after 3 months of non stop work. Apparently 5 different construction crews together worked 24/7, taking 8 hour shifts at any given time. The frigate construction is now finished, and the NZSA Head Engineer was quoted stating that they were "pleased with the progress of the Normandy project" and that initial tests have shown the frigate will be capable of test runs as soon as the Eurasian Space Elevator is complete. Thus, the NZSA has confirmed previous suspicions that they Normandy would be transported to orbit by the Eurasian Space Elevator, and operational tests will be completed in space. The reason behind this has been given as the project being too valuable to risk it falling back to earth if there is a technical failure during launch.

Ausona
The Ministry of Space Exploration announced today that the Space Elevator being constructed in Ausona has been completed, and will be open for use within a month. "We are now running stress tests and essentially making sure that the the elevator is ready for extended and heavy use." the spokesman for the Ministry, Volcatius Sedigitus, said in the press conference. "We must operate with caution. This is a historic technological advancement, and we must ensure that all safety parameters are met in earnest. Thus far the elevator has worked extremely well, and we are excited for the future." The elevator, which is the first of its kind, is expected to save the Imperial Government millions of Pesetas, alleviating the need for expensive rocket launches and refueling. The largest expense for the elevator was actually the station it joins to, which needed to maintain precise orbit over Ausona, meaning that the use of small thrusters to adjust position were constantly needed. Now that the station is connected to the elevator, it will be open once the Ministry completes safety trials.

The NZ-Eurasian highway, also called the Twin Coast Highway, is the longest stretch of multi-lane highway in the world, stretching a monstrous 3,700 KM, from the NZ capitol of Grand Haven, all the way the Eurasian capitol of Urbem Sol. The highways passes all major cities and economic hubs along the way, and is 6 lanes wide at it's narrowest, and 10 lanes wide at it's widest. The project was started half a decade ago under the governance of Prime Minister Andre Lytle, as part of his ENZAC agreement and has been funded by both nations, each building and maintaining the sections in their territory. There is a distinct switch when the roads change from NZ's "beautified" architecture, to the Eurasian practical alternative. As far as funding for the project goes, little is known about what Eurasia plans for their sections, but we expect they will make an announcement soon. As far as the ENZAC agreement is concerned, we are led to believe that both nations agreed to keep tolls at a minimum. On the NZ sections, the NZTA has already announced that the road itself will remain untolled and maintained with revenue from Road User Charges, however, when crossing into Eurasia or into NZ, the commuter will be charged $25, with a cap of $50 a week, ensuring frequent travelers and truckers are not overly penalized. 

The highway will be officially opened next week and will be commemorated with a ceremony at the ceremony. On top of that, the NZSA has made the decision to transport the finished NZSA Normandy under high security escort along the highway on opening day all the way to the recently completed space elevator in Eurasia. This will make the NZSA convoy among the first vehicles to travel the length of this highway, and only adds to the occasion. The convoy itself will be ultra high security. The ship will be carried in multiple broken down segments, and will be reassembled at the destination. Each segment weighs approximately 15 tonnes, and will require specially made trucks supplied by the Chrysler Group, equipped with ultra heavy duty chassis' and powered by monumental 18L V8 quad turbo diesel engines outputting over 100Hp. The convoy of 50 trucks will be commencing their journey sometime tomorrow. While the convoy is on their day long journey, they will be escorted by over 300 police officers and military personnel and over 100 vehicles included armored cars, military attack helicopters, anti air tanks and an Overwatch Hellfire class AC-130. The convoy will also be joined by the vast majority of the 500 strong Normandy design and assembly team as well as key NZSA members who will be making the "pilgrimage" to the Eurasian Space Elevator (though they will be travelling in either their own cars, or chartered buses), where the Eurasian Space Agency has kindly provided them with facilities for them to reassemble the Normandy, carry out final tests and then use the elevator to take the ship into orbit where it will then (hopefully) undertake it's maiden voyage to the moon and back, before hopefully dipping into the upper atmosphere and flying over NZ for eager space enthusiasts to get a look at the ship in flight. 

The transport process will itself go down in history as one of the highest security road transports in history, with a budget of $15 Million for just that day. That said the highway will remain open for general public use, however the convoy itself will be spanning nearly half a KM, and no traffic will be able to pass the group as that moving area used by the convoy will be a restricted area. That said, the convoy should be travelling at 100KM/h but if traffic does build up, the convoy will arrange some safe method for the built up traffic to pass the group. 

The space race is truly on for NZ, as the nation awaits the official launch of it's mars mission with the inaugural flight of the Normandy, the first member of the NZSA Fleet, and thus the de facto of the NZSA "Armada". Should this ship prove a success, the NZSA will almost certainly start work on more ships of various specification, all based around the Hall Effect Thruster systems. Alongside this milestone, the opening of the highway marks a significant day in NZ-Eurasian relations. The Imperials and the Social Democracy have come a long way from the days many years ago when the Imperial fleet fought alongside NZ revolutionaries to declare independence from the Tarajani Empire.

The Imperial Government has released their long-awaited statement on the superhighway, which was completed earlier this month and will soon be open to the general public. The highway, which spans a long, winding course from Grand Haven in New-Zealand to the Imperial Capital of Urbem Sol, even crossing the treacherous Solipsa Strait between Asticus and the mainland. The project was the largest ever continuous roadway built in history, even longer than the ancient Appian way which historically connected Urbem Sol and Civitius hundreds of years ago. The Imperial plan for tolls and other such establishments will be kept to a minimum, with the only tolls being to enter Urbem Sol (all roads entering the capital are tolled) and when the roadway changes from New-Zealand to the Empire. The toll price for entering either NZ or Eurasia will be $25 on both sides, and the toll for entering Urbem Sol will be $5. The Imperial Ministry of Transportation will be offering a "Golden Pass", which can be purchased for $175 and will ensure a year's worth of free access. Frequent travelers who cannot afford the pass will be charged a cap of $50 a week so they are not penalized.

The Ministry has also announced that the Ministry of the Vigiles (Police Ministry) will meet the Kiwi convoy transporting the Normand to Ausona and take it to the elevator facility, which is located on an island south of the city itself. When journalists asked if the Imperial Highway Authority, the branch of the Transportation Ministry tasked with overseeing the highways in Eurasia, was worried that the transportation could damage the roads, they responded by saying "The highway is made with the most advanced polymers we could efficiently manufacture. Both the Imperial Government and the Kiwi Government took great care to ensure that the road could handle the stresses of a rush hour traffic jam, they can handle a disassembled spaceship."

The government also announced that the space elevator is fully operational and is ready to function on demand. The tests were finished and no defects or issues were found, and the elevator is now waiting, so to speak, for the Normandy, which it will carry into space in pieces to be assembled at the space station where other Imperial navy vessels are being built.

The Imperial Ministry of Transportation announced today that an agreement with their counterparts in Arveyres and New-Zealand has been signed that will establish a new system of superhighways that will connect the three nations, as well as increase trade and tourism exponentially. The superhighway system, which, when finished, will be the largest in the world, likely dwarfing the newly created NZ-Eurasia superhighway. The Praeministrum of Transportation released a press statement on the matter, saying "We are very excited to announce this latest agreement. The establishment of the superhighway will dramatically increase trade and will catalyze growth between our three states, as well as link us by land permanently." There will be two newly developed highways, one leading from Paris to the Grand Haven-Urbem Sol highway in Asticus, and one from Paris to Grand Haven, thereby connecting all three countries. The Eurasia-Arveyres superhighway will be known as the Athene Superhighway, whilst the NZ-Arveyres superhighway will be known as the Cytherean Superhighway.

The Athene Superhighway will travel south from Paris into southern Arveyres, where it will pass between Atanean and Kiwi territories and cross the Bay of Asticus, which it will cross with the longest underwater tunnel in the world, which will be bored by a joint Arveyrean-Eurasian venture. Initially plans for a large bridge or similar platform were discussed, but it was decided that a bridge that long would not be feasible and could be a serious detriment to Imperial infrastructure as it would require near constant maintenance. A suspension bridge was also discussed, but no suspension bridge this long has ever been constructed and would likely be very expensive. The tunnel will span the length of the strate underground and will then meet the NZ-Eurasia superhighway. Tolls are likely to be established when the roads enter the opposite nation's territory, but there are no plans to establish them thus far.

The Cytherean Superhighway will be the longest of the two, and it will diverge from the Athene superhighway into its own when the Athene moves underground. After diverging, it will wind its way through NZ territory before connecting with the NZ-Eurasia Superhighway in Grand Haven. Unlike its counterpart, the Athene, the Cytherean will be totally on land and above ground. However, like the Athene it will be four lanes in either direction and will likely be tolled as well. The building of this highway will be undertaken by the NZ and Arveyrean governments, but will be accessible to both Eurasians, Kiwis, and Arveyreans.

A date has not been set for the beginning of construction, as mapping of the terrain and the blueprints for the project have yet to be developed, but it is likely that it will begin in a few months. The major obstacle for the project will be the underground portion of the highway connecting Arveyres and Eurasia, less due to the depth and more due to the length of the tunnel and the rock that the seabed is made up of. The plan is for the Arveyrean diggers to begin on their side and the Eurasians on theirs, and they will meet in the middle and connect the tunnels. The chief engineer for the Eurasian side of the project, Claudius Aelianus, said in an interview that "Our major concern is the material the seabed is made of. A good deal of it is loosely compacted dirt, and we will likely have to tunnel at least 200 feet down before we encounter bedrock of sufficient structural integrity to maintain the rigors of extended use."

The SAVIOR Program launched from Sarif Industries

"Future is here" is the slogan that reign over the AFT 2015 of this September. Different are the main companies that will present their projects and programs during the fair of technology. First of all, the PSC and the JMC, in their stands, presented the actual state of the program of expansion of the Lunar City on the Moon and of the colony on the L3 Lagrange Point. According to the stands, with the extra funds of New Tarajan and Aloia, the projects are accelerated and the estimated time of completion was changed due to the increments of funds. According to the two companies, partners in this epic programs with the ASEA, the space agency and the Ministry of the Infrastructures, the Lunar City will be completed one years before the precedent esteemed date of end, while for the space colonies was not do any change on the program table of march.

But, between a space program yet announced and the new robot for the kitchen, the most important news from the AFT 2015 is the SAVIOR Program. Announced from the Sarif Industry, an important company of Cape Wolf specialized into advanced bio-technology program and in advanced medical equipment, the program, according to a first note of the company, will change our view of the world for decades. "We are here because we must tell to the world what we are capable of do" said after his entrance on the stage, Alexander Sarif, leader of the Sarif Industries "We are here to announce to Antanares that, now, all it wants is possible. We have finally discovered the key for the human evolution". After the first talks, Alexander Sarif presented the SAVIOR Program, the largest series of bio-technology products ever presented from a private company for non-medic solutions.
Artificial limbs, eyes, nano-chips for human minds, will become the standard after the diffusion of the program in all Antanares. With this program, the Sarif Industries will diffuse in all their shops around the world a new kind of products: a body parts. With the new nano-technologies at disposition of the industrial sector, Sarif is capable of create artificial and integrated parts of the body for everyone, for the right price, with a minimal risk of rejection. "Blind will see again, soldier will return to walk, woman infertility will be only a past nightmare". The products of the Sarif Industries, before destined only to hospitals and clinics will be now at disposition of everyone.

The stats of the artificial parts talk really clear. In all the test subjects, the implementations of an artificial arm or of an artificial leg increased the possibilities and the abilities of a subject. Neuro-cortical implants will help learning, improve the creativity and the capacity to think faster than in the past. The implementations of artificial eyes will help to fight all the past disease of visibility in men and women of all ages. Also, according to the Sarif Industries the new artificial parts would be secure for all the patients, that will not suffer of rejection crisis like in the past times with the old artificial limbs.


The SAVIOR Program will easily become one of the most controversial programs of all history. Political extremists and religious leaders, just in the past, launched proclaims and calls against the new studies into the genetic and the bio-technology fields, considering them an offense to Nature and to Life. For sure, with the expansion of Antanares in the space and the construction of an entire city on the surface of the Moon and, at the same time, with the SAVIOR Program launched from the Sarif Industries, Antanares will not be the same. Some men just called this time a new golden age of science and technologies, a new Renaissance Time for Antanares and the world. Others call this time the time of the Devil, accusing scientists and governments to change something that, maybe, must not be changed. For sure, with the launch in the next two weeks of the new products of the SAVIOR Line in all Antanares, humans with artificial limbs and parts and with nano-improvements will become the new standard in all the country.

The launch date is fast approaching, with the NZSA Normandy expected to be launched via the Eurasian Space Elevator at exactly 11AM tomorrow morning, after the official opening ceremony for the space elevator and the christening of the Normandy. Attendance at the launch ceremony is expected to be in the tens of thousands, with the NZ Government officially declaring the day a guaranteed leave day. In essence a guaranteed leave day is the equivalent of a public holiday, with a few small changes. If an employee or employer opts to take a day off, the government (not the employer) will foot the bill of the paid holiday. However, pay will be given at standard working days minimum wage, not at the actual working wage. The newly opened twin coasts highway has been pushed to it's limits, with the rapid influx of tourists heading into Eurasia putting a heavy strain on the highway network. Regardless, the highway system has held it's own, and traffic jams were effectively non existence, with the only exception being a rear end collision just outside the Copperfield interchange, but the incident was quickly dealt with.

Ausona
The NZDF Normandy, the first of New-Zealand's colony ships, was transported to orbit today using the Ausona Orbital Elevator. The Normandy was initially assembled in separate parts in New-Zealand, and then transported along the newly-constructed NZ-Eurasia superhighway as the highway's maiden voyage. Imperial authorities met the Kiwi convoy when it entered Eurasian territory and escorted it to Ausona, where the ship was brought up, piece by piece, to the orbital station that connects to the elevator. Assembly of the ship will continue, and the Imperial Navy expects it to be completed in a month or so. "Mostly it's just putting pieces a and b together." said Chief Engineer Sentius Augurinus, who is in charge of reassembling the ship. Various officials from the Imperial and Kiwi governments attended the launching ceremony, chief among them being Emperor Augustus and Prime Minister Kris Hopkins, as well as numerous members of the NZ parliament and the Imperial Senate. Concerns that there would be protests from environmentalists were abated with a heavy police and military presence, and the launch went without incident.

Emperor Augustus spoke at the launching, saying: "First, I would like to welcome Prime Minister Hopkins and his Core Cabinet to Ausona. This is a historic moment for all of the Terran Federation, not to mention New-Zealand itself. A nation cannot be prouder than the people of New-Zealand must be right now, to see their hard work and scientific progress reach fruition. Likewise, the Imperial Government and the Eurasian people are equally proud to have our elevator, the first of its kind, be used to launch this important vessel. None of these ventures could have been possible without the continued and strong inter-support of all the Terran Federation nations, who all contributed engineers, research, and funding to the hugely important things our nations have been doing. The time and efficiency with which this tether was built could not have been possible without the contributions of the New European engineers, and the construction of the Normandy would not have been nearly as efficient without this tether. This day is an example of the greater things mankind can do when we work together as equals and not against each other as enemies. With the launching of the Normandy, a sort of inauguration for the tether itself, we will bring humanity into a new level of scientific prowess and progress. When the Normandy joins the Aegis Fate in space, colonies can grow and we can finally learn more about our galaxy. Thank you."

Lunar City "Armstrong" completed

After the completion of the last level of the Lunar City, called "Armstrong" in honor of the famous astronaut, ASEA officially announced the end of the works on the lunar surface for the first human settlement on the main satellite of the planet. The works, that has required several months, billions of Jedaros and thousand of workers and vehicles for the completion, were accelerated thanks to the intervention of two private company of Antanares and to the government of New Tarajan and Aloia, that invested resources and money in the projects of the ASEA into one of the first international space program ever launched.
Armstrong City would receive about 50.000 colonists from all the three countries that joined the program, citizens that will work on advanced research programs and in the main shipyard of the city, that would create the next module for the L5 Colonies programmed from ASEA and from the Ministry of Infrastructures of Antanares. With the support of the new shipyard, the process of production of space-ship and module for the space stations would be "faster then light. Materials will arrive with the ships here, were we could use them to build ships and modules" said the representative of the Prima Savarola Consortium, Victor De La Roux. The private company received the contract thanks to the investment in the space research and thanks to the fact that the PSC was one of the first company to lend its shipyards on the surface of the planet to the Federal Government for the construction of the space ships directed to Mars.
The city, even if completed, will not be open. According to the responsible of the project, ASEA will conduct all a series of stress test on the main infrastructures of the city, on the emergency systems and on the main and secondary reactors of the city. Also, according to the program, His Highness will be present at the opening of the main gate of the city, to welcome all the new citizens of the first human city on the Moon with leaders and representative of the other two countries involved, New Tarajan and Aloia.

Disorders at Cape Wolf

One week after the end of the Technology Fair of Velikogovolka, several riots exploded on the main streets of Cape Wolf, the second more important city of the country. According to a representative of the Police Office of the city, a group called "Purity First" started a series of protest against the Sarif Industries, that presented during the fair a new program of technological extensions for the human body. The movement called "Purity First", according to the presentation disposable on their internet site, will fight the right war against this impurity, how they called the artificial limbs at disposition of the client of the Sarif Industries. During the protests on the main road of Cape Wolf, not far from the financial center of the city where the company has its bases, the protest become more violent when police tried to stop them out of the main center of the city.
After a first charge of the policemen, the protesters tried to avoid the main block of the security forces and tried to enter in the headquarter of Sarif. In several minutes police stopped twenty men and women of Purity First and engaged in a sort of city guerrilla the rest of them. Thanks to the use of drones and helicopters, most of the rioters were arrested from the police.

The road to power of Carl Van Houden and his renewed Regeneratie Partij was far from plain and unobstructed: rising as Prime Minister in the wake of a global war, after the fall of the government led by Van De Groot's RTCP caused by the catastrophic failure of his foreign policy, the former mayor of Astana went very far in consolidating his political base and the consesus around his Party in the aftermath of the war and the subsequent inauguration of a new diplomatic structure for New Tarajan.
Now, Van Houden and the RP, once at the periphery of the Tarajani political spectrum, obtained the full confirmation of their consolidated, predominant position.
The people of New Tarajan decided to reward the nationalist, extreme Right Wing, Party of Van Houden with a strong victory and a crushing majority inside the Royal Diet.
The reasons for the victory are many: above all, the perception that Van Houden successfully opposed "the threats mounting against our country and our way of life", as one voter described them, referring to the Terran Federation, and also successfully handled "the issues of national security, international position, and economic uprising" of the Kingdom and the whole Empire.
A political analyst explained well the position of the Tarajani citizen and voter in an interview by saying that "what convinced the people that Van Houden was the right choice is that did not simply keep his promises. He demonstrated flexibility, versatility, about practically every issue at stake, both in domestic and international affairs. He allowed the Kingdom to keep its position, without humiliating compromises, but also without a stubborness which could have had catastrophic results."
Particularly appreciated, then, the policies of the Prime Minister also attracted votes from other Parties, mainly the TSDP and the Blues, while obscuring the RTCP thanks to a well-crafted Right Wing coalition.
"Van Houden represents for most of the people of this country, that side of the political world which supports the Monarchy without compromises, and which, accordingly, truly protects the Kingdom and the Empire against the threats posed by terrorist organizations and their supporters, not to mention the so-called Terran Federation." another analyst said.
The Prime Minister welcomed the news of the victory with a public speech at the Palace of Government, immediately after a meeting of the Imperial Council, and before going to the Royal Palace, to meet King Friederick Wilhelm and Queen Beatrice, receiving by them the confirmation of the appointment.
"I guess everyone here is ready to hear the most lavish cascade of complacent words" he opened, laughing.
"I cannot thank enough the people of this country, for having decided to give such a deep trust to me, and to the men and women of the RP." he continued: "And I cannot avoid to thank also Their Imperial and Royal Majesties, who, firstly, gave me such a trust."
He even thanked "our most trustworthy allies: the people of Duresia, Aloia, Antanares, Zackalantis...not forgetting to mention our Arveyran brothers, of course. Without them, we could not have enjoyed the safety and prosperity which contributed to the results of these elections."
"A new way is now opening in front of our eyes: a way of progress, prosperity, security. But also a way full of challenges, which we need and must address with all our forces, as we have already done in the past. I will not hide the truth" he said "The situation is still difficult: out there, there are still people who believe they can harm our Empire, and the safety and well-being of our citizens, without punishment or, even worse, with a reward."

Of course, Van Houden also took the opportunity to announce the new policies of his government.
And he have done it, by particularly addressing foreign policy and the international situation.
"Our position is simple: do not harm us, and we will not harm you" he stated: "The Kingdom of New Tarajan is a first-class economic, political and military Power, and this is quiet clear to everybody. But a true Power is best seen when it acts like that. That is to say: protecting its interests and its own security. This is exactly what we will do."
As such "We have no intention to go around the world, imposing regimes or enforcing our own ideas and decisions, as someone else loves to do. New Tarajan is fundamentally a neutral country: everybody is welcome here, everybody can be our friend and ally. We respect the rights of the others, and the others respect our rights. It's simple, and fair."

In few words, something is changing: with a strong neutral stance, already strengthened by the participation of the Kingdom to the USC and the reformation of SECURS, New Tarajan wishes to strictly protect itself agaisnt any possible threat. But nothing else.

But to keep a neutral stance, it needs also a strong military.

However, the government decided to go further ahead with a project of technological renewal which will make the Empire the safest country in the world.
Keeping the pillars of the old New Paradigm Program, OMNI Enforcer will update all its existing units: particularly sensitive, the Air Force will see its assets completely upgraded. Following the inauguration of the lunar city of Armstrong, by Antanaresian, Tarajani and Aloian representatives (the three countries share their space programs and have built the city together), Anaheim Electronics, one of the most important Tarajani firms in the aerospace sector, announced that it will move most of its infrastructures from Eindhoven to the lunar city.
The announcement came directly from CEO Julienne Dekker, in a press conference specifically held at the headquarters of the company: "Anaheim Electronics has always been in the frontline for the development of new space-based technologies" she said "It's only natural for us to be the first company in the world to move directly to space."
At the lunar city, Dekker underlined "we will have the opportunity to keep working on our projects with greater efficiency and effectiveness."
The company actually has many contracts with OMNI Enforcer, many of them protected by top secret.
Dekker also announced that the Anaheim "will increase its investments in the building of the Jahan Space Colony" during the next months "also considering the opportunity to open a subsidiary structure there."
